CT Technologist - Per Diem

About the role

Join Lehigh Valley Health Network as a Per Diem CT Technologist, providing high‑quality CT imaging while ensuring patient safety and comfort. This role supports a leading health system recognized for excellence and patient safety.

Key responsibilities

• Perform CT scans of designated anatomy, operating scanners, injectors, and monitors safely and accurately.
• Review images, repeat scans as needed, and prepare images for PACS transmission.
• Communicate exam details to patients, address questions, and maintain confidentiality of PHI.
• Administer contrast media per protocol and notify physicians of any adverse reactions.
• Complete technical notes, verify images, and attend department meetings.

Required profile

• Technical School Diploma or graduate of an accredited Radiography program.
• CNMT or RT(CT) certification; less than 1 year experience as a Radiologic Technologist acceptable.
• Basic Life Support certification (American Heart Association) within 30 days of hire.
• State of Pennsylvania RT registration upon hire and CT‑ARRT certification within 1 year.

Required skills

• Operation of CT scanners and related equipment.
• Use of PACS for image handling and transmission.
• Administration of contrast media and adherence to radiation safety protocols.
• Proficiency with advanced CT scanning software and post‑processing applications.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and venipuncture techniques (preferred).
