CT Technologist – Evening Shift

About the role

The Cleveland Clinic Akron General Hospital is seeking a CT Technologist to join its Radiology department on an evening shift. You will produce high‑quality cross‑sectional images to aid diagnosis and ensure patient safety and comfort throughout the procedure.

Key responsibilities

• Perform computed tomography imaging for patients of all ages, including preparation, positioning, and acquisition of images.
• Review patient charts and requisitions to verify study appropriateness and identify contraindications.
• Administer contrast media and medications within scope of practice and applicable regulations.
• Maintain CT equipment, report dysfunctions, and ensure optimal uptime.
• Archive, transmit, and print images via PACS and document quality assurance results.

Required profile

• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• Registered Technologist credentialed by ARRT (R.T.(R)) in good standing.
• CT certification (R.T.(R) (CT) (ARRT)) to be obtained within one year of hire.
• Current state licensure and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Knowledge of cross‑sectional anatomy and related pathologic processes.

Required skills

• Operation of CT scanners and related imaging equipment.
• Administration of contrast media and VNA puncture techniques.
• Use of PACS for image acquisition, archiving, and transmission.
• Adherence to radiation safety and infection control protocols.
