Crop Claims Field Adjuster I/II/Specialist (Remote Iowa)

About the role

Zurich is seeking experienced crop insurance professionals to serve as RCIS Crop Claims Field Adjuster I, II, or Specialist, working from a home‑based office while covering a territory in Iowa.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct field inspections, read maps and aerial photos, measure fields and storage bins, and discuss crop loss findings with farmers.
• Explain complex regulations and claim situations to claimants, agents, and industry stakeholders.
• Gather and record factual information to determine potential indemnities and ensure legal compliance.
• Perform claim reviews and audits of lower‑level adjusters as assigned.
• Participate in team projects and contribute to overall claim processing efforts.

Required profile

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Relevant experience ranging from 6 months (Adjuster I) to 4+ years (Specialist) in agriculture or crop insurance.
• Crop Adjuster Proficiency Program Certification (CAPP) as required for each level.
• Valid driver’s license, reliable personal transportation, and ability to travel within a 50‑mile radius of designated Iowa counties.
• Physical ability to walk up to 3 miles in fields, climb bins up to 25 ft, and lift 25‑50 lb.

Required skills

• Intermediate Microsoft Office proficiency.
