Crop Claims Field Adjuster I (Virginia)

About the role

Zurich is seeking a RCIS Crop Claims Field Adjuster I to serve Virginia’s agricultural community from a home‑based office. The role involves field inspections, loss assessment and communication with farmers, agents and regulators.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct field inspections, read maps and aerial photos, measure fields and storage bins.
• Gather and transmit loss information to determine indemnities and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Review and audit claims from lower‑level adjusters as assigned.
• Participate in team projects and maintain strong knowledge of policies and procedures.

Required profile

• High School Diploma or equivalent with at least 6 months agricultural experience.
• Valid driver’s license, reliable personal transportation and ability to travel up to 50% of the time.
• Physical ability to walk up to 3 miles in fields, climb bins up to 25 ft and lift 25‑50 lb.

Required skills

• Crop Adjuster Proficiency Program Certification (CAPP) within 180 days of hire.
• Intermediate Microsoft Office skills.
