Critical Care Physician Assistant (PA-C)

About the role

Join the Critical Care team at Lehigh Valley Hospital‑Pocono, a 24‑bed combined medical and surgical ICU. The position offers flexible shift patterns and the opportunity to work closely with physicians for training and professional growth.

Key responsibilities

• Provide 12 shifts per month, with typical 12‑hour shifts (flexible to 8‑ or 10‑hour options).
• Participate in ICU procedures such as placement of central lines, arterial lines, dialysis lines, and intubations.
• Cover day and night shifts, rotating weekends and holidays evenly.
• Pick up additional moonlighting shifts as desired.

Required profile

• Current PA‑C certification and active medical, DEA, and malpractice coverage.
• Willingness to work flexible schedules, including day, night, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to collaborate with physicians and other APC providers in a team‑oriented environment.

Required skills

• Familiarity with central line placement.
• Experience with arterial line insertion.
• Knowledge of dialysis line setup.
• Proficiency in endotracheal intubation.
