Credit Risk Associate

About the role

Ramp is seeking a Credit Risk Associate to join its Risk Strategy & Operations team. You will leverage data and AI tools to develop and optimize credit strategies that impact how customers use Ramp’s services.

Key responsibilities

• Own credit risk strategy for areas such as credit limits, payment speed, and collections.
• Use SQL, quantitative reasoning, and credit risk judgment to investigate patterns, size opportunities, define policy changes, and pressure‑test recommendations.
• Build prototypes and tools (apps, dashboards, agents, notebooks) when workflows do not exist.
• Integrate AI tools daily to accelerate research, analysis, coding, and verification.
• Partner with Product, Engineering, Design, and other teams to execute risk management infrastructure.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of experience in credit risk management or quantitative strategy.
• Minimum 2 years of experience using SQL or Python for data retrieval and manipulation.
• Demonstrated AI fluency with tools such as Claude Code, Codex, or similar.
• Ability to define ambiguous problems, make decisions, and drive follow‑through independently.
• Strong communication skills to convey complex credit risk decisions to leadership and cross‑functional partners.

What we offer

• Base salary ranging from $108,000 to $200,000 (depending on level) for New York City.
