Court Services Officer I – 18th Judicial District (Wichita, KS)

About the role

The Court Services Officer I provides supervision and support to individuals under the jurisdiction of the 18th Judicial District Court. This role assists clients in understanding court requirements, connects them with community resources, and ensures compliance with legal obligations.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and assist clients subject to court orders, including monitoring compliance.
• Conduct urinalysis and breathalyzer testing as required.
• Maintain accurate records of client contacts, caseloads, and compliance activities.
• Research and investigate issues of non‑compliance or concern.
• Prepare legal documents such as warrants, journal entries, and recommendation letters for the court.
• Collaborate with community agencies and stakeholders to identify and address client needs.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in corrections, counseling, criminology, psychology, social work, sociology, or a closely related field.
• Ability to obtain and maintain SASSI, LS/CMI, WRNA, and EPICS certifications within one year.
• Strong written communication skills and proficiency in English usage.
• Capability to work independently and as part of a team under general supervision.
