Correctional Clinical Associate – Coffield Unit

About the role

The Correctional Clinical Associate (CCA) provides essential administrative, clerical and technical support within a correctional healthcare facility. Working on‑site at the Coffield Unit, the associate helps ensure smooth operation of medical records, inventory and physician‑delegated tasks.

Key responsibilities

• Operate computers to enter data, generate reports, draft correspondence and conduct special administrative analyses.
• Maintain filing systems, handle mail, fax and typing duties, and supervise routine administrative processes.
• Track, review and file medical record charts, ensuring completeness and compliance with policies.
• Receive, store, distribute and inventory medical supplies and narcotic‑based medicines, processing requisitions and work orders.
• Perform basic clinic tasks delegated by physicians and supervised by RN staff, following competency‑based guidelines.

Required profile

• At least one year of experience in administrative support, medical, business or a related field.
• Ability to obtain required security clearance and pass pre‑employment drug testing.

Required skills

• Proficiency with personal computers and data‑entry systems.
• Familiarity with electronic medical‑record tracking and filing.
• Basic inventory and materials‑management procedures.
