Corporate Aviation Summer 2027 Internship

About the role

MassMutual's Aviation Department offers a full-time summer internship in its Corporate Aviation flight department, based in Windsor Locks, Connecticut. The internship gives exposure to all aspects of a corporate aviation flight department, including flight crews, scheduling, maintenance, safety management and more, and is embedded within the Executive Travel team, which schedules corporate flights, shuttles and ground transportation.

Key responsibilities

• Schedule flights in line with federal and internal regulations
• Enter and update corporate shuttle requests
• Schedule and update ground transportation reservations
• Arrange international landing permissions and customs arrangements
• Assist flight crews with trip planning
• Shadow maintenance technicians during their daily tasks
• Take part in the MassMutual Safety Management System
• Perform other duties assigned by the Director of Executive Travel

Required profile

• Currently enrolled in an aviation program at an accredited university
• Authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship now or in the future
• Ideal: working toward or having obtained an FAA Dispatcher, A&P or Pilot license
• Ideal: previous exposure to a corporate aviation flight department

Required skills

• Ability to become proficient in in-flight scheduling software and reporting tools
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
