Coordinator for Athletics Venues and Operations - Main Campus

About the role

The Coordinator for Athletics Venues and Operations supports the Athletic Director and Assistant Manager of Main Campus Operations in managing day‑to‑day venue activities, scheduling, and maintenance across Texas A&M’s main campus athletic facilities.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and address maintenance issues in venues such as Kyle Field, Bright‑Slocum Building, Davis Player Development Center, Coolidge Football Performance Center, and Sinn Academic & Wellness Building.
• Coordinate staff for furniture/equipment moves, light repairs, and routine inspections for cleanliness, safety, and orderliness.
• Prepare, prioritize, and track work orders while communicating status to coaches and venue staff.
• Monitor external media for events that could impact facility usage and adjust plans accordingly.
• Manage inventory, equipment storage, and supply ordering for assigned venues.
• Oversee site safety, security, and serve as the after‑hours contact for each venue.
• Lead set‑up and breakdown of special events, supervising student assistants and ensuring smooth game‑day operations.
• Maintain and update venue operation guides and recommend policy improvements.

Required profile

• Willingness to work weekends, nights, and holidays as needed.
• Strong organizational abilities to coordinate multiple venue requests and maintenance tasks.
• Effective communication with coaches, staff, and external vendors.
• Ability to perform basic hands‑on maintenance and inspections.
