Cook - Full Time, Part Time & Per Diem

About the role

Brandywine Assisted Living, part of Monarch Communities, is hiring cooks for full-time, part-time and per diem positions. The cook prepares and serves meals, keeps food service areas clean, maintains accurate records and ensures regulatory compliance. Pay is $24.00-$25.50 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and serve quality meals and meet special dietary needs, including texture-modified food as directed
• Keep accurate records and follow food safety, risk management and HACCP protocols, including temperature logs for hot, cold, refrigerator and freezer items
• Receive, rotate and inventory products, and maintain food service areas
• Attend scheduled in-service training and comply with federal, state and local regulations and community policies
• Perform other duties as assigned

Required profile

• Current ServSafe certification or ability to obtain it
• One year of job-related experience in food preparation, full-line menus and special diets
• High school diploma or GED
• Able to work at least one weekend day per week
• Ability to lift or carry up to 50 lbs and use proper body mechanics
