About the role

Summit is seeking an experienced cook to join its correctional facility kitchen team in Crookston, MN. This full‑time, onsite position offers the chance to work in a fast‑paced environment, preparing nutritious meals for incarcerated individuals while supporting a motivated kitchen staff.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain quality and portion control for all meals.
• Prepare food items according to recipes and safety standards.
• Present dishes creatively while adhering to nutritional guidelines.
• Keep the kitchen clean, organized, and well‑stocked.
• Store food properly and monitor inventory.
• Follow safe food handling policies, procedures, and recipes.

Required profile

• Minimum one year of culinary experience in a high‑volume, quality‑focused establishment.
• Strong knowledge of culinary methods, techniques, and standards.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast‑paced setting.
• Proficiency with various kitchen equipment and tools.
• Customer service experience.
• Food handler certification is a plus.
