Controller – $160k‑190k + Bonus (Atlanta, GA)

About the role

The Controller will lead all financial operations for a fast‑growing manufacturing and distribution business. Reporting to the CFO, this hands‑on leader will manage cash flow, budgeting, financial reporting, audits and regulatory compliance while partnering with operations and sales teams.

Key responsibilities

• Lead month‑end, quarterly and year‑end close processes to deliver GAAP‑compliant financial statements.
• Develop KPI‑driven reporting packages that highlight cash flow, variance trends and operational performance.
• Support budgeting, forecasting and monthly operating reviews, explaining performance drivers to leadership.
• Serve as primary liaison for external auditors and tax advisors, ensuring audit‑ready schedules and sales‑tax compliance.
• Oversee the India‑based accounting shared‑services team (AP, AR, journal entries, reconciliations) and define governance, escalation paths and quality standards.
• Maintain internal controls, segregation of duties and approval workflows across all finance processes.
• Drive continuous improvement and automation in partnership with ERP owners to shorten the close cycle.
• Manage inventory accounting for raw materials, work‑in‑process and finished goods, ensuring accurate valuation.

Required profile

• Proven experience in a senior finance role within manufacturing or distribution.
• Strong leadership skills with a track record of managing offshore/shared‑services teams.
• Deep knowledge of US GAAP and regulatory compliance.
• Ability to translate complex financial data into clear, actionable insights for executives.
