Contract Psychiatrist (1099) - Independence, Missouri

About the role

Lyra Clinical Associates, a partner of Lyra Health, is recruiting contract psychiatrists to join its provider network. You will provide evidence-based mental health care through live 60-minute video intake appointments and regular follow-ups, including psychiatric evaluations and medication management. Patients can also be referred to therapy and coaching services alongside your care.

Key responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive mental health medication management via a 60-minute intake appointment and regular follow-ups
• Conduct mental health risk assessments, psychiatric medication evaluations and longitudinal medication treatment
• Build patient-centered treatment plans, document recommendations, message patients and prescribe and manage psychiatric medications
• Follow clinical best-practice guidelines such as measurement-based care and patient-centered care

Required profile

• Board-certified MD or DO in psychiatry
• Unrestricted state license; strong preference for an active DEA license
• Specialty in treating ADHD
• Office space available to see clients in the Independence, Missouri area
• Ability to treat patients with a wide range of diagnoses, clinical complexity and severity levels
• Full-time resident of the United States
