Contract Procurement Coordinator

About the role

Commonwealth Fusion Systems is seeking a Contract Procurement Coordinator to join its Supply Chain team. In this on‑site position you will support internal customers by handling purchase orders, supplier negotiations, and invoice resolution.

Key responsibilities

• Create accurate purchase orders for raw materials, parts, equipment, and services within authorized limits.
• Review and negotiate standard contract terms, working with legal counsel when needed.
• Issue requests for quotes, evaluate supplier responses, and select the best‑value vendors.
• Onboard new suppliers by setting up accounts and entering required data into CFS systems.
• Monitor open orders to ensure timely delivery and resolve any delivery issues.
• Address invoice discrepancies and guarantee vendors are paid on schedule.
• Maintain compliance with supply‑chain policies, export regulations, and intellectual‑property guidelines.

Required profile

• High School Diploma (Bachelor’s degree is a plus).
• 0‑2 years of experience in procurement or a related function.
• Strong communication and relationship‑building abilities.
• Ability to prioritize tasks, work under pressure, and exercise sound judgment.
• Customer‑service orientation and problem‑solving mindset.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lb and work in environments with heat, cold, noise, fumes, strong magnets, lead, high voltage, or cryogenics.

Required skills

• Proficiency with MS Office.
