Associate Buyer – Contract

About the role

As a Contract Associate Buyer on the Supply Chain team at Commonwealth Fusion Systems, you will support the business’s procurement needs through contract data management, order processing, and supplier coordination.

Key responsibilities

• Create error‑free purchase orders up to authorized limits for raw materials, parts, equipment, tooling, supplies, and services.
• Review and negotiate standard contract terms, working with legal counsel when necessary.
• Issue requests for quote, evaluate supplier responses, and select the best‑value supplier based on cost, schedule, and quality.
• Onboard new suppliers in CFS systems, setting up terms and accounts.
• Monitor open orders to ensure on‑time, on‑quality delivery.
• Resolve invoice issues and ensure timely vendor payment.
• Follow all supply‑chain policies, including export compliance and intellectual‑property guidelines.
• Provide clear, timely updates to internal customers.

Required profile

• High School Diploma.
• 0‑2 years of experience in procurement or a related role.
• Proficiency with Google Workspace.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks, work with integrity, and deliver strong customer service.
• Effective problem‑solving, sound judgment, and ability to work under pressure.
• Commitment to safety in a manufacturing environment.
