Vice President of Supply Chain

About the role

Commonwealth Fusion Systems is seeking a Vice President of Supply Chain to lead the scaling of its global fusion supply chain. The role will oversee a multi‑billion‑dollar procurement portfolio, driving supplier development, planning, logistics, and quality to enable the delivery of multiple ARC power plants each year.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute a comprehensive strategy to scale the global supply chain for ARC power plants.
• Build and nurture relationships with suppliers worldwide, aligning them with CFS’s vision and capacity needs.
• Negotiate and structure complex supplier partnerships that align incentives and ensure robust delivery.
• Lead, mentor, and expand a ~100‑person supply chain team, fostering a strong mission‑driven culture.
• Continuously improve supply chain systems, processes, and tools to eliminate waste and increase speed.

Required profile

• 20+ years of progressive supply chain experience, including VP‑level strategic leadership.
• Proven track record scaling cutting‑edge, hardware‑intensive supply chains.
• Demonstrated ability to create and execute comprehensive supply chain plans.
• Strong understanding of global cultural differences and supplier dynamics.
