Construction Surveillance Technician (TS/SCI)

About the role

Amentum is hiring a full-time, non-exempt Construction Surveillance Technician (CST) in Annapolis Junction, MD, to provide construction surveillance at selected government facilities under construction in the United States. The schedule is Monday to Friday, 1pm to 9pm, and the position requires a TS/SCI security clearance.

Key responsibilities

• Provide basic physical security in line with SCIF policies and ICS 705-1 standards.
• Monitor construction activities and materials to protect the building's security integrity.
• Detect and report unauthorized technical penetrations and report anomalies in the Protected Distribution System (PDS).
• Work with the Government Site Security Manager to enforce security policies and screen uncleared construction personnel under the Construction Security Plan.
• Stand for 4 hours or more, work in all weather, lift up to 20 lbs, climb ladders and walk on uneven ground.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED; U.S. citizen.
• At least 3 years of construction experience, with knowledge of two or more trades (carpentry, electricity, plumbing, HVAC, sheet metal, welding, drywall, masonry).
• Fluent reading, speaking and understanding of English; ability to write reports and forms.
• Flexibility to work all shifts and weekends; ability to make safe decisions on a construction site.
• Security clearance: TS/SCI with poly.
