Construction Manager III – Capital Projects

About the role

The Construction Manager III will lead capital projects from definition through commissioning and closeout, ensuring safe, on‑time delivery for transmission substations and lines. This role works closely with the Construction Group, utility accounts, and external contractors.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Construction Group in managing capital projects throughout the full lifecycle.
• Develop project scope, cost estimates, schedules, and detailed construction plans, including outage requirements.
• Prepare bid packages, conduct pre‑bid meetings, evaluate vendor responses, and select contractors.
• Perform constructability reviews across all disciplines to mitigate costly changes.
• Monitor safety, environmental concerns, schedule adherence, and cost performance.
• Execute quality‑assurance checks, manage contract closeout, and produce as‑built documentation.
• Ensure compliance with utility procedures and regulatory requirements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent.
• 5–10 years of experience in electric‑utility transmission & distribution, construction, or related industries.
• Strong interpersonal, leadership, communication, and presentation abilities.
