Conflicts Attorney

About the role

The firm is seeking a Conflicts Attorney to lead legal support in conflicts analysis for new business matters and lateral hires. The role involves independent review, research, and resolution of conflicts of interest, ensuring compliance with ethical standards across jurisdictions.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze conflicts of interest on new client engagements and lateral attorney hires.
• Draft waivers, engagement letters, and joint representation agreements.
• Advise firm lawyers on ethical issues, withdrawal, and screening procedures.
• Perform legal research and prepare memoranda for General Counsel, managers, and committees.
• Negotiate resolutions of disputes over conflicts and waivers.
• Maintain presence during regular working hours and adhere to firm attendance expectations.

Required profile

• U.S. citizenship or lawful permanent residency (required for Export Control compliance).
• Thorough knowledge of the Rules of Professional Conduct and their application.
• Understanding of jurisdictional differences and choice‑of‑law analysis.
• Strong legal research, writing, and analytical abilities.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate across U.S. and international offices.
