Regulatory Affairs Attorney – Energy Transactions

About the role

Dorsey is looking for an associate or senior attorney with 5‑10 years of energy transactional experience to join its Regulatory Affairs group. The position can be based in Boise, ID; Minneapolis, MN; Phoenix, AZ; or Salt Lake City, UT.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, negotiate, and review Power Purchase Agreements.
• Handle Interconnection Agreements for generators, transmission, and load.
• Manage large‑load matters, electric service agreements, and transmission service transactions.
• Provide regulatory guidance on industry‑specific transactions.

Required profile

• J.D. from an ABA‑accredited law school.
• 5‑10 years of energy transactional experience.
• Bar admission in Idaho, Minnesota, Arizona, or Utah, or ability to become admitted.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Strong academic performance.
• FERC and/or state regulatory experience is preferred.
