Concierge

About the role

The Greenbrier Hotel in White Sulphur Springs is hiring a Concierge for its Rooms Division, reporting to the Chef Concierge. The position is hourly with possible gratuities, involves guest interaction and administrative duties, and requires shifts that vary daily, with days off that may not be consecutive and holiday work expected.

Key responsibilities

• Book restaurants, activities and babysitting services using the hotel's reservation systems (Opera, RA and Knowcross).
• Assist guests with booking flights, transportation and Amtrak trains.
• Handle guest interactions, order-taking, clean-up duties and clerical tasks.
• Build relationships with guests, vendors and internal departments.

Required profile

• High school diploma or G.E.D. required; associate or bachelor's degree preferred.
• Prior hotel experience preferred; public/guest-facing contact position.
• Ability to stay professional, polite and courteous in all situations.

Required skills

• Strong verbal and written communication, including strong phone etiquette.
• Time management, resource management and organization.
• Strong computer skills.
• Knowledge of hospitality standards and company policies.
