Computer Information Systems Instructor

About the role

The State of Georgia, through West Georgia Technical College, seeks a full‑time Computer Information Systems Instructor to teach day, evening, and online courses for traditional and dual‑enrolled students.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver theory and practical instruction in classroom, lab, and field settings using current technology.
• Develop curricula, syllabi, lesson plans, and master course shells within the learning management system.
• Evaluate and grade student work promptly, maintain accreditation documentation, and support program accreditation.
• Participate in recruitment, retention, job placement, and serve on college committees.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Computer Programming, CIS, Computer Science, IT or related field with at least 18 graduate credit hours in the teaching discipline.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to work across multiple campuses and deliver instruction in day, evening, and online formats.

• Effective communication and interpersonal skills for diverse student populations.
