Computer Applications Adjunct Instructor

About the role

The State of Georgia, through West Georgia Technical College, seeks a qualified adjunct instructor to teach computer applications courses on campus. This face‑to‑face position involves delivering theory and practical instruction that aligns with academic standards and industry practices.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and deliver classroom and lab instruction for computer applications, preparing syllabi using provided templates.
• Evaluate student progress, grade coursework promptly, and maintain required documentation and reports.
• Collaborate with faculty to define and assess student learning outcomes and support recruitment, retention, and job placement efforts.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Business Education, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field with at least 18 graduate semester hours in the teaching discipline.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Preferred: PhD, relevant certifications (IC3, Microsoft Certified Application Specialist, Microsoft Office Specialist), postsecondary teaching experience, and field experience.

Required skills

• Proficiency with computers and common software applications.
• Certification in Microsoft Office (IC3, Microsoft Certified Application Specialist, Microsoft Office Specialist Associate/Expert).
