Companion & Caregiver for People with Disabilities

About the role

Join BAYADA's Oahu Habilitation team as a Companion/Buddy helping individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities live more independent, fulfilling lives in the community.

Key responsibilities

• Build long‑lasting, one‑on‑one relationships with clients for a few hours each week.
• Engage in clients’ favorite hobbies and activities, such as Special Olympics.
• Support clients in budgeting, socializing, shopping, using public transportation, and exercising.
• Ensure client safety and well‑being at home and in the community.
• Have fun while providing respectful, dignified assistance.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 18 years of age.
• Passion for supporting individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities.
• Patience, empathy, and dedication.
