Community Relations Officer – Environmental & Social Projects

About the role

The Community Relations Officer will lead and coordinate projects focused on environmental education, risk management, climate change adaptation, and community resilience. This role supports sustainable initiatives that align with First Quantum’s ESIA commitments and the needs of neighboring communities.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and oversee environmental and community programs.
• Manage project budgets, performance indicators and impact measurement.
• Develop tools for data collection, analysis and reporting.
• Collaborate with governments, NGOs, consultants and local stakeholders.
• Promote climate resilience and risk mitigation activities in rural and vulnerable areas.

Required profile

• At least 5 years of experience in environmental and community project implementation.
• Background in environmental education, climate resilience or community risk management.
• Experience working with rural and vulnerable populations.
• Proven ability to coordinate multi‑sectoral partnerships.
• Degree in Environmental Management, Engineering, Sociology, Social Work, Community Development, Environmental Sciences or related field.
