About the role

The Community Pharmacy Internship at Cleveland Clinic Health System provides hands‑on experience in outpatient pharmacy settings, supporting patient transitions from hospital to ambulatory care.

Key responsibilities

Review and assess medication orders to identify and resolve drug‑related issues.
Recommend formulary alternatives and compound medications for patient care areas.
Provide drug information and education to medical staff and patients.
Communicate with physicians and clinicians to facilitate care.

Required profile

Enrolled in an accredited College of Pharmacy program and eligible for an Ohio intern license.
Current State Board of Pharmacy Intern License (PH/INT) before start date.
Available to work full‑time during the academic year and full‑time Monday‑Friday in the summer.

Required skills

Medication order review and drug‑related issue resolution.
Compounding and preparation of medications.
Providing drug information and patient counseling.
