Commercial Sales Coordinator

About the role

Clopay Corporation is seeking a Commercial Sales Coordinator for its Troy, Ohio manufacturing facility. The role works 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM and focuses on qualifying, interpreting, and selling commercial garage‑door projects across an assigned region.

Key responsibilities

• Qualify and sell commercial project opportunities by understanding building applications, architect intent, code compliance, market pricing and technical requirements.
• Create and supply complex submittal documents after project award, including product data sheets, shop drawings, installation instructions and code‑compliant material.
• Build trusted advisor relationships with large commercial customers, contractors and architects, providing product recommendations and technical expertise.
• Determine pricing and margin requirements per project to maximize profitability through upselling and value engineering.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for commercial technical questions and support architects and specifiers with design assistance.

Required profile

• Associate degree required; bachelor’s preferred or equivalent combination of education and two years related experience.
• Prior sales, product installation, technical knowledge and project estimating experience in a customer‑service environment.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, door schedules, elevations and specifications.
• Strong communication skills – electronic, in‑person and phone.
