Associate Director, Transaction Banking Financial Institution Sales

About the role

The Associate Director will drive Transaction Banking revenue growth across a portfolio of Financial Institution clients in North America, focusing on trade products and leveraging ANZ’s global proposition.

Key responsibilities

• Drive revenue growth and manage catch‑and‑throw opportunities across the ANZ network.
• Apply disciplined capital management and monitor deal performance through post‑implementation reviews.
• Partner with Relationship Managers and stakeholders on client account planning, wallet sizing and opportunity identification.
• Maintain pipeline management, ensuring opportunities are prioritized and progressed.
• Deliver exceptional customer experience through proactive engagement and value‑added insights.
• Lead end‑to‑end transaction management with Product, Operations, Compliance, Implementation and Onboarding teams.
• Identify and act on customer feedback and process improvement opportunities.
• Contribute to branch, business and enterprise‑wide initiatives, including policy implementation and technology‑enabled change programs.

Required profile

• Proven ability to work with senior clients such as Treasurers and CFOs.
• Strong commercial acumen and understanding of trade, clearing, payments and cash management products.
• Experience with Financial Institutions is highly valued.
• Excellent influencing and communication skills across multiple jurisdictions.
• Solid understanding of risk management, governance, compliance and regulation.
• Strong relationship management and organisational skills.
