Collections Specialist – Hybrid (Salt Lake City)

About the role

Medallion Bank is seeking a Collections Specialist to join its loan servicing team in Salt Lake City. This hybrid position combines office collaboration with remote work, focusing on recovering delinquent sub‑prime consumer loans while delivering professional, empathetic service.

Key responsibilities

• Contact delinquent borrowers via phone, email, and written correspondence to secure payments and bring accounts current.
• Negotiate repayment terms that balance customer ability and bank requirements.
• Perform skip‑tracing and investigations to locate borrowers and collateral.
• Document all collection activities, interactions, and payment agreements in the loan servicing system.
• Collaborate with underwriting, customer service, legal, and third‑party vendors to develop recovery strategies, including repossession or litigation when necessary.
• Provide courteous customer service while maintaining compliance with company policies and regulatory guidelines.
• Recommend accounts that need additional attention and support team cohesion.

Required profile
