CNC Technician

About the role

Aviation Technology Associates (AVTECH Global) is seeking a CNC Technician to set up and operate automated machines for part fabrication. This full‑time, 12‑month contract position offers the opportunity to become a direct hire after 90 days.

Key responsibilities

• Operate automated CNC machines using existing programs and set up material according to blueprints and engineering documents.
• Remove, replace, and inspect cutting tools and offsets; perform minor repairs and preventative maintenance.
• Monitor material supply, validate machine readiness, and maintain a clean, safe work environment complying with 5S and EHS standards.
• Complete required paperwork and documentation for each job.

Required profile

• High School diploma/GED; 0‑2 years of related experience or education.
• Valid driver’s license may be required; participation in DOT/FAA drug and alcohol program may be required.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.

Required skills

• CNC machine operation and programming.
• Tool changing, offset adjustment, and tool condition inspection.
• Blueprint and engineering drawing interpretation.
• Preventative maintenance and minor machine repairs.

• Pay rate $25.66‑$30.17 per hour, depending on experience and location.
