CNC Maintenance Technician - 3rd Shift

About the role

Dauch is looking for a CNC Maintenance Technician to join its Driveline team in Detroit on the 3rd shift. The role covers maintenance and repairs of electrical and mechanical equipment supporting production, including 3-axis CNC mills, conveyors, machine automation and robots. The position is regular.

Key responsibilities

• Support production operations with maintenance and repairs of electrical and mechanical problems, including 3-axis CNC mills, conveyors, machine automation and robots.
• Analyze, solve problems and maintain plant equipment using sound troubleshooting techniques and repair methodology.
• Work from mechanical and electrical drawings, equipment specifications and schematics.
• Assist with parts research as needed.
• Perform preventative, predictive and routine inspection maintenance per work orders.
• Read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, quality documents, set-up instructions, blueprints and electrical prints.
• Complete charts and other simple documents to communicate with the team.
• Maintain a safe and clean working environment in line with procedures, rules and regulations.
• Carry out other duties as assigned.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED.
• 1-2+ years of CNC experience and 2-3+ years of maintenance experience.
• Validated experience and ability to use standard maintenance and electrical repair tools, operate lifting equipment, computer terminals and other tools.
• Experience with troubleshooting.
• Availability and willingness to work any shift, overtime and weekends as requested.

Required skills

• Basic understanding of hydraulic and pneumatic circuits and equipment.
• Ability to drive a forklift, scissor lift and articulating arm boom truck.
