CNA / Personal Aide for People with Disabilities

About the role

Join BAYADA’s Oahu Habilitation Team as a Companion/Buddy, helping individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities live more independent lives in the community.

Key responsibilities

• Build one‑on‑one relationships with clients for a few hours each week.
• Engage clients in favorite hobbies and activities such as Special Olympics.
• Support independence goals like budgeting, shopping, using public transportation, and exercising.
• Ensure client safety and well‑being at home and in the community.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 18 years old.
• Passion for serving people with intellectual or developmental disabilities.
• Patience, empathy, and dedication.
