About the role
The Clinical Technician works night shifts (6:30 p.m. – 7:00 a.m.) on the 5 Seidman Renal Unit at Hillcrest Hospital, providing direct patient care and supporting the nursing team.
Key responsibilities
- Take vital signs, weight, and assist with personal care under RN supervision.
- Perform point‑of‑care testing, dressing changes, patient transfers, and apply external monitoring devices.
- Conduct phlebotomy, 12‑lead ECGs, and remove urinary Foley catheters.
- Report abnormal findings to the RN and help keep patient rooms clean and orderly.
Required profile
- High School Diploma/GED and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- One year of recent full‑time patient‑care experience or equivalent (nursing student with clinical rotation, military medical corpsman, or related training).
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting patients and moving objects up to 100 lb.
