About the role

The Clinical Technician will support the H51 Colorectal Surgery Unit at Cleveland Clinic Main Campus, assisting with basic patient care, maintaining room cleanliness, and providing compassionate support to patients.

Key responsibilities

  • Assist with patient care under RN supervision, including vital signs, weight, personal care, point‑of‑care testing, dressing changes, and applying/removing monitoring devices and urinary catheters.
  • Report abnormal physical, mental, or emotional findings to the RN.
  • Maintain clean and orderly patient rooms.

Required profile

  • High School Diploma/GED.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (AHA or Red Cross) obtained upon hire or within the new‑hire period.
  • One year of recent full‑time patient‑care experience, or nursing student with clinical rotation, or relevant military medical experience.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks such as moving patients and lifting up to 100 lb occasionally.

Required skills

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Point‑of‑care testing proficiency.
