Clinical Supervisor & Field Experience Coordinator

About the role

The Clinical Supervisor & Field Experience Coordinator provides direct clinical supervision to graduate counseling students and coordinates field‑experience placements for the Clinical Mental Health Counseling and Marriage & Family Therapy programs at Texas A&M University‑Central Texas.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver in‑person and tele‑health clinical supervision to graduate students in the on‑site training clinic.
• Collaborate with the Director and Assistant Director of the Community Counseling and Family Therapy Center.
• Serve as liaison with external internship sites, coordinating field‑experience logistics.
• Represent the department on university committees and contribute to continuous‑improvement initiatives.
• Assist in operational planning, lead the clinic in the absence of senior leadership, and manage special projects.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy (COAMFTE accredited) or a related field.
• At least two years of post‑graduate experience in community mental health, private practice, or comparable clinical settings.
• Familiarity with COAMFTE accreditation standards and program management.

Required skills

• Knowledge of COAMFTE accreditation standards.
