Clinical Speech Pathologist – Home Care

About the role

The Clinical Speech Pathologist provides home‑care speech and swallowing therapy to patients in South East Cuyahoga and Geauga Counties. This position involves traveling to patients' homes, conducting assessments, and delivering individualized treatment plans.

Key responsibilities

• Perform initial and ongoing assessments of patients' communication and swallowing function.
• Develop and implement goal‑oriented therapy plans using standard speech‑language techniques.
• Select and recommend assistive speech devices to enhance patient communication.
• Document patient progress, treatment effectiveness, and maintain up‑to‑date records.
• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings, including hospice teams when needed.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Speech/Language Pathology.
• Ohio Speech‑Language Pathology licensure (SP).
• Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC‑SLP) from ASHA.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Valid Ohio driver’s license and automobile insurance meeting policy requirements.
