Clinical Research Physician – Internal Medicine or Endocrinology

About the role

Alcanza Clinical Research is expanding its multi‑site network and seeks a board‑certified physician specialized in Internal Medicine or Endocrinology to lead clinical trials at its Clearwater location. The Principal Investigator will ensure patient safety, regulatory compliance, and high‑quality data collection while collaborating with local and central teams.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily trial activities in accordance with ICH, FDA, GCP, HIPAA, and study protocols.
• Evaluate and enroll eligible participants, ensuring ethical conduct and patient safety.
• Maintain accurate source documentation and electronic data capture.
• Provide protocol training for site staff and participate in Investigator Meetings.
• Communicate effectively with sponsors, clients, and multidisciplinary team members.
• Assist with participant retention and address any protocol‑related issues.

Required profile

• MD or DO degree with an active, good‑standing medical license in the state of practice.
• Board certification in Internal Medicine or Endocrinology.
• Current CPR certification (ACLS preferred).
• Strong organizational abilities, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple tasks.

Required skills

• Proficiency with MS Office applications.
• Experience using electronic health record (EHR) systems.
• Familiarity with web‑based clinical trial applications.
• CPR competency; ACLS certification preferred.
