Clinical Pharmacist – Inpatient

About the role

The Clinical Pharmacist – Inpatient joins Cleveland Clinic Mercy Hospital to support 24/7 pharmacy operations, providing medication order verification, dispensing, and clinical services across the inpatient setting.

Key responsibilities

• Verify medication orders and prescription fills in compliance with state and federal regulations.
• Perform renal dose monitoring, compounding, and support IV room operations and medication automation systems.
• Collaborate with the infusion center and oncology team to ensure safe, effective therapy.
• Participate in a rotating schedule of day, evening, weekend, and holiday shifts.

Required profile

• PharmD or Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from an accredited college.
• Current state licensure as a Registered Pharmacist (or eligibility for reciprocity within 90 days).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; ACLS and/or PALS certification required within one year of hire.
• Immunization certification or completion of a Board‑approved immunization course within 90 days.
