Clinical Pharmacist – Inpatient, Day/Afternoon Rotating Shifts

About the role

The Clinical Pharmacist – Inpatient supports 24/7 pharmacy operations at Mercy Hospital, providing medication verification, compounding, and clinical services across day and evening shifts.

Key responsibilities

• Verify medication orders and dispense prescriptions accurately according to state and federal regulations.
• Perform renal dose monitoring, IV room support, and sterile compounding.
• Collaborate with the infusion center and oncology team, providing disease‑state and medication education.
• Document services promptly and ensure compliance with national accreditation standards.

Required profile

• PharmD or Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from an accredited college.
• Current state licensure as a Registered Pharmacist (or eligibility for reciprocity within 90 days).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; ACLS and/or PALS certification required within one year of hire for responders.
• Immunization administration certification (or completion of a Board‑approved course within 90 days).
