Clinical Engineering Technician II

About the role

The Clinical Engineering Technician II joins the Clinical Engineering Admin‑Operations department at Cleveland Clinic Hillcrest Hospital. You will support equipment planning, installation, maintenance and repair of critical medical devices, contributing to the delivery of world‑class patient care.

Key responsibilities

• Provide routine and as‑needed clinical engineering services including repair, maintenance, relocation and installation of medical equipment.
• Maintain accurate documentation of equipment inventory, service history and repairs.
• Collaborate with IT caregivers to integrate medical equipment systems with hospital information systems.
• Perform preventative maintenance and troubleshoot equipment failures.

Required profile

• Associate’s Degree in Biomedical or Electronic Engineering with two years of Clinical Engineering experience, OR equivalent experience as outlined in the posting.
• Ability to climb 8‑foot ladders, work in confined spaces, and lift up to 50 lb.
• Physical ability to use hand and power tools and read technical schematics.
