Clinical Educator / Registered Nurse (Medical Device Education)

About the role

A Registered Nurse or Allied Health Professional (Surgical Technicians) will educate end users on a new medical device used in hospital and other healthcare facilities, typically in operating room procedures. The role covers education only, with no sales responsibilities and no patient care. It offers exposure to the medical device industry and potential for long-term career growth, with possible regional travel to support accounts.

Key responsibilities

• Provide peer-to-peer education and consultation to RNs, physicians and other healthcare staff on end-user education needs in the healthcare setting
• Assess customer needs and help resolve issues caused by lack of knowledge about the medical device or its product
• Help deliver in-service education to key customers
• Follow up with key accounts to assess unmet education and clinical needs related to successful device implementation
• Give clinical and professional expertise to end users without patient care, and share customer feedback with corporate teams to improve new and existing devices
• Serve as an education resource on the particular device

Required profile

• 2-5 years of experience as a Registered Nurse (RN) or Allied Health Professional (Surgical Technicians)
• Operating room experience preferred
• Prior experience supporting medical devices preferred
• High level of business acumen and professionalism
• Excellent written and oral communication skills, able to communicate with technicians, physicians, nurses and support staff
• Customer focused
