Clinic Surgical Technologist – General Surgery (Full‑Time)

About the role

Phelps Health is seeking a Clinic Surgical Technologist to support physicians and nursing staff in both outpatient clinic and operating room settings. The role involves preparing patients, instruments, and surgical environments while ensuring high‑quality, safe patient care.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare operating and clinic procedure rooms, ensuring instruments, equipment, supplies, and sterile fields are ready.
• Assist providers with patient exams, minor procedures, and treatments, including documentation and basic clinical tasks.
• Position, prep, and drape patients for surgery while maintaining infection‑control standards.
• Pass instruments intraoperatively, anticipate surgical team needs, and support patient monitoring.
• Perform clinical and administrative functions such as EMR updates, scheduling, and patient communication.

Required profile

• Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technologist program.
• Current Surgical Technologist certification (or extensive military surgical experience).
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification.
• Ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 lb, and work in both clinic and OR environments.
