Clinic RN – Cardiology (Full‑Time)

About the role

The Clinic RN provides direct patient care in a cardiology outpatient setting, supporting physicians and mid‑level providers with assessments, treatments, testing, and education. This full‑time position works Monday‑Friday during regular clinic hours.

Key responsibilities

• Administer oral, IM, SC, topical, and IV medications as ordered and maintain central line and venous access devices.
• Assist providers with procedures, set up instruments, and perform point‑of‑care lab testing and specimen collection.
• Conduct phone triage, communicate test results to patients, and act as liaison between provider and patient.
• Document patient encounters accurately, update medication lists, and manage inventory of supplies.
• Escort patients, obtain vital signs, and provide patient education on MyChart and treatment plans.

Required profile

• Graduate of an accredited RN program with a current Missouri RN license (or Compact state).
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification.
• Ability to lift up to 35 lb, stand for long periods, and perform frequent walking and patient handling.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to work in a fast‑paced environment.

Required skills

• Medication administration (oral, IM, SC, topical, IV).
• Central line care and prevention of surgical site infections.
• Venous access device (port) maintenance and IV push medication administration.
• Point‑of‑care laboratory testing and specimen collection.
