About the role
Charter Schools USA seeks a Classical Grammar Faculty Scholar to teach 1st‑grade scholars the foundational "grammar" of learning. The role focuses on delivering a rigorous, virtue‑rich classical curriculum that builds knowledge, moral character, and lifelong learning habits.
Key responsibilities
- Plan and deliver a classical course aligned with the CSUSA educational philosophy and the Trivium framework.
- Develop purposeful lesson plans that incorporate explicit instruction, imitation, recitation, narration, copywork, dictation, and guided discussion.
- Engage scholars deeply, encouraging thoughtful discourse and the practice of prudence, fortitude, temperance, and justice.
- Review scholar records to tailor instruction to individual abilities and needs.
- Use differentiated teaching modalities to maximize academic achievement and moral formation.
- Conduct regular diagnostic assessments and maintain accurate instructional records.

- Demonstrated expertise in classical education methods.

- Experience working with young learners in a classroom setting.
