Practical Nursing Instructor – Full Time

About the role

The Practical Nursing Instructor is a 12‑month, full‑time faculty position at Georgia Piedmont Technical College’s Newton County Campus. Reporting to the Dean of the School of Health, Education, Public and Professional Services, you will deliver both theory and hands‑on clinical instruction to prepare students for careers in practical nursing.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare lesson plans and develop program syllabi, goals, and objectives for credit technical courses.
• Supervise students during patient‑care activities and clinical rotations, including 12‑hour shifts on weekdays and weekends.
• Evaluate student progress, maintain required supplies and equipment, and ensure program certification compliance.
• Produce required documentation, administrative reports, and maintain safety and security standards in training areas.
• Participate in staff development, recruitment, retention, and job‑placement initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from a regionally accredited institution.
• Current Georgia RN license in good standing and active CPR certification.
• At least five years of recent clinical experience, preferably in Medical‑Surgical Nursing.
• Credentialed to satisfy all accrediting bodies for the courses taught.
