CNA Nursing Assistant Instructor

About the role

The Georgia Piedmont Technical College seeks a full‑time Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Instructor to deliver classroom and laboratory instruction across all campuses. The instructor will teach CNA courses during day, evening and weekend schedules, supporting students in achieving certification and career readiness.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and deliver lesson plans for CNA theory and practical labs.
• Teach both in‑person and online courses, including lecture and lab activities.
• Evaluate student performance, maintain accurate records, and generate required reports.
• Update course syllabi and ensure curriculum aligns with state standards.
• Advise and motivate students on program expectations and career pathways.

Required profile

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Current Georgia license as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN).
• Three or more years of recent full‑time clinical experience as an LPN or RN.
• Certified Train‑the‑Trainer (or completion within 45 days of hire).
• American Heart CPR Instructor certification.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Flexibility to teach day, evening and Saturday classes.

Required skills

• Comprehensive knowledge of the Certified Nursing Assistant profession.
• Ability to teach all phases of the CNA curriculum.
