Claims Representative, Auto

About the role

Sedgwick is hiring a Claims Representative, Auto, working remotely from Wisconsin. The primary purpose of the role is to analyze and process low to mid-level auto and transportation claims.

Key responsibilities

• Process auto property damage and lower level injury claims, assessing damage, making payments and ensuring files are properly documented and coded according to the policy.
• Develop and maintain action plans so state-required contract deadlines are met and files move toward prompt resolution.
• Identify and pursue subrogation opportunities and secure and dispose of salvage.
• Communicate claim action and processing with the insured, client and agent or broker when appropriate, and maintain professional client relations.
• Analyze coverage, liability and damage on all claims assignments.
• Perform other duties as assigned and support the organization's quality programs.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university preferred.
• Secure and maintain the state adjusting license required for the position.
• Familiarity with personal and commercial lines policies and endorsements.
• Ability to review property damage estimates, total loss evaluations and related expenses to negotiate first and third party claims.
• Knowledge of total loss processing, state salvage forms and title requirements.
• Ability to meet or exceed service expectations and work in a team environment.

• Starting pay of $50,000-$55,000 for the jurisdiction listed.
