Civil Permitter - National Program Accounts

About the role

Atwell, LLC, a consulting, engineering and construction firm serving real estate, land development and energy markets, is hiring a Civil Permitter for its National Program Accounts. The role coordinates civil permitting for multi-state client programs, working with clients, engineers, consultants and regulatory agencies to move projects from initial submittal through permit issuance.

Key responsibilities

• Manage civil permitting for multiple projects across states and jurisdictions
• Research jurisdiction-specific requirements and prepare Site Investigation Reports (SIR)
• Coordinate permit submittals, agency reviews, resubmittals, approvals and issuance
• Maintain permit trackers and monitor milestones, deadlines and outstanding items
• Coordinate with civil engineers, surveyors, architects, contractors, consultants, clients and agencies
• Keep clients and project teams informed of permit status, issues and schedule impacts
• Follow up with agencies and prepare status reports and dashboards
• Develop standardized permitting procedures and jurisdictional resources, and escalate permitting risks

Required profile

• 3+ years of experience in civil permitting, land development, engineering or a related field
• Experience managing multiple projects and deadlines at once
• Strong organization, communication and follow-through skills
• Ability to work independently with large project teams
• Preferred: multi-state or national program experience, familiarity with commercial site development and civil engineering plans, and experience with electronic permitting portals
