Civil Engineering New Graduate – Long Island, NY

About the role

IMEG is seeking a recent civil engineering graduate to join its Long Island team. This full‑time hybrid position provides hands‑on experience in design, analysis, and project execution across municipal, environmental, and wastewater projects.

Key responsibilities

• Perform basic civil engineering calculations such as hydraulic, traffic, piling, rebar, and earthwork balances.
• Assist in designing water and sewer systems for private and municipal clients.
• Develop grading and storm‑water designs for commercial, industrial, and residential sites.
• Support field inspections, report writing, permit applications, and site drainage design.
• Interact with clients to gather requirements and communicate technical information.
• Contribute to project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and quality‑control processes.
• Document design decisions and monitor progress against project milestones.

Required profile

• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• Interest in municipal, environmental, or wastewater infrastructure.
• Strong analytical mindset and willingness to learn on the job.
